MYSTICAL DANCE OF THE GODDESS
November 8th-18th, 2025
A sacred pilgrimage into the worship & rituals of The Das Mahavidyas & 64 Yoginis of The Tantric tradition.

Join Saraswati, Leela, and our India hostess Uschi for a mystical immersion into the blessings and rituals of The Dasa Mahavidyas, and the 64 Yoginis of the Tantric tradition. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to connect with the living traditions of Goddess worship in some of Mother India’s holiest Tirthas for Devi.

VARANASI
Our Retreat will truly begin in Varanasi, the city of Lord Shiva, the god of transformation, dance, and yoga in Hindu mythology. Known as Banaras under British rule, Varanasi is the holiest city for Hindus. Many go there to cleanse away lifetimes of karma in the Ganges River and take the blessings of Lord Shiva at the thousands of temples and shrines throughout the city. Known for its clockwork of rituals, where one can observe Hindu traditions at their source, we will be transported back in time as we make our way around this remarkable city to holy Goddess temples and Tirthas. In the words of Mark Twain, “Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together.”

KHAJURAHO
Our next stop is the exotic Khajuraho, which means ‘The way of the Palm tree.’ Located in the countryside of Madhya Pradesh state, Khajuraho and its erotic temples were hidden in the jungle for centuries, which protected them from pillagers, invaders, and colonizers. Founded during the glorious Gupta period of Indian history, Khajuraho’s stunning temples unabashedly express the style of sensuality and worship that echo the principles of the Tantric tradition. Set in a rural countryside, we will enjoy days of tranquility and beauty, a charm that’s rare to experience anywhere in the world.

BHEDAGHAT
Located on the banks of the Narmada River, Bhedaghat offers us a quiet and spaciousness with which to integrate our sacred pilgrimage. Home to one of the few 64 Yogini temples in India, Bhedaghats Yoginis bless us in their magnificence and power, as they have centuries of Queens, Kings, and Tantric devotees.
SARASWATI  HANCOCK
Saraswati has been practicing Yoga since a young child, and has been teaching  in Ireland and around the world in diverse communities for the last 25 years.
Her path has taken her deep into the Feminine as a way of living, a devotional practice and as an offering through her work. She fully believes that Yoga is a means to uplift and elevate life, love and the world, that goes far beyond what we do on our Yoga mat. Her approach to teaching is rooted in the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Tantric devotional practice, self enquiry and kindness. She is continually immersed in the study of Ayurveda, Yoga and Tantra and is currently engaged in the study of Vedic counselling. Saraswati has travelled in India several times and co hosts retreats in her spiritual home of Ganeshpuri.

USCHI GIBSON
Uschi was initiated into the path of Goddess worship in her childhood. Following a career in the high fashion world, Uschi deepened her yoga studies in 2002, which led her to India in 2007, where she has been based ever since.
